Materials

Materials chosen for form and function — PET felt, leather and fabrics, from which we build acoustic solutions.

PET felt – a material that leaves room to design

PET felt – a material that leaves room to design

PET felt is a versatile acoustic material that combines sound absorption, durability and a great deal of freedom in how it can be worked. It performs well in wall panels, ceiling panels and custom acoustic elements.

At Craftworks we work with PET felt in different thicknesses. The material can be CNC-cut, milled, laminated, layered and combined with other materials to create solutions matched to a specific project.

A wide range of colours means felt can be a quiet background or a strong feature of the interior. We use it in offices, hotels, restaurants, public spaces and homes.

With our own production we make both prototypes and larger runs of made-to-measure elements.

Leather – a natural material with a singular character

Leather – a natural material with a singular character

Leather brings warmth, depth and a refined character to a room. Its natural structure and subtle differences make every piece unique.

At Craftworks we use leather for wall linings, panels and made-to-order elements, choosing the type, colour and finish for the project.

We also combine it with PET felt, wood and other materials in layered, carefully resolved compositions. Leather belongs where material quality and a finished detail matter.

Fabrics – an extra finishing layer

Fabrics – an extra finishing layer

We use fabrics above all to laminate PET felt, giving its surface a different look and a different touch. That combines the properties of felt with the wide design, colour and material range of textiles.

The second use is upholstering MDF slats, so a classic slat can take on a softer, more decorative and more individual finish.

Working with different fabrics lets us match the finished element to the project, in colour, texture and the character of the interior.
