Production services
We carry out a complete production process, from the concept and prototypes through precise cutting, thermoforming, joining and printing. At every stage we focus on the quality of the work and on the details, so the result matches what the client expects.
CNC cutting
We use CNC cutting to reproduce even complex shapes and patterns with high accuracy, while keeping material waste to a minimum. Computer control lets us make parts that fit together precisely and form a coherent whole.
The method also allows cutting at different angles, which matters for edges with non-standard profiles, such as V-grooves and chamfers. That flexibility opens up a wide range of design possibilities and lets us make forms matched to the client’s brief.
Thermoforming PET felt
Thermoforming PET felt is one of the most important stages of our production, and our experience with this material is what matters here.
We understand how PET felt reacts to temperature. Under heat it becomes flexible and easy to form, which lets us give it unique three-dimensional shapes.
We use three types of press: vacuum, pneumatic and hydraulic, so we can match the technology to each project.
Our hydraulic press, built to order for filzBee, is fully optimised for working with PET felt.
With a pressing force of up to 90 tonnes we can make even very complex forms, with high durability and a clean finish.
Laser cutting and engraving
Laser cutting reaches very high precision and can reproduce fine detail, but the process itself relies on high temperature.
Because PET felt is thermoplastic, the laser beam can cause slight scorching, hardening or a change of colour at the edges.
Even with those limits, the technology works very well for engraving and for thinner pieces, such as panels around 3 mm thick. The laser can produce subtle detail and distinctive decorative effects on the surface of PET felt.
Bonding PET felt
A thorough knowledge of the material, and years of work with specialists in adhesive selection, let us join layers of PET felt with seams that are almost invisible.
Our bonding method is durable and visually clean, whatever the complexity of the project.
We use only safe adhesives with the required certificates, which guarantees quality and compliance with the relevant standards.
